How to Find Out When Your Stimulus Check Will Arrive

The IRS is launching the Economic Payment verification tool at IRS.gov/eip. You can go online to check the status of your payment. It will include the date your check is scheduled to be deposited or mailed.
Most of the money will be provided via direct deposit (deposited under “IRS Treas 310”), in cases where the IRS already has direct deposit information from 2018 and 2019 federal income tax returns. Otherwise, checks will be mailed.
“We know that many people are anxious to get their payments,” the IRS tweeted. “We’ll continue issuing them as fast as we can.”
